I have a book that was a gift many years ago.  I just did some research and believe the signature is most likely fake.  What can I do with this book?

You could always ask for opinions on this site if you want to confirm (unless you're already really sure).  If the purchase of that gift was so long ago that pursuing a refund isn't much of a possibility, you might just have to accept it for what it is.  You can always just read the book, if you haven't already.

What is the title of the book and who was said to have signed it?  If you know that it is a fake and are asking for advice about what to do with it I always feel a sense of relief when I throw a forgery into the garbage.  But that's just me of course.

You can cross out the signature or write FAKE over it and read the book or donate it. Or cut the offesive page out with a razor and very few will notice.
