Hey all, just stumbled across this UK charity auction.  The signatures I recognize seem to be legit, but in the midst of some items I like noticed that they seem to have several McCartney's, among some other great names (ton of Daltrey sign t-shirts). The auction looks good to me, but I'm just interested in whether all their items are legit.

Here are some of the auctions with McCartney sigs:

I could be wrong here Rich, but i dont get a good feeling about these items. I clicked on only one granted, and that was the 2nd from the top link. All of the signatures looked funny to me, and the odds of getting those names together on one item are pretty slim, even for a good cause. It certainly does happen from time to time, but when it does, the event is typically very well known and documented and their are pictures out the wazzo of the celeb signing it. I would be optimistically hesitant on these items. And would make sure to get Roger to look at them first. Something just seems off here.

Some of the signed shirts, signed fabric stuff is going to inherently look wacky for sure.  The Florence + the Machine signed shirts and tote bags look pretty weird, but the flats (program and drumhead) look absolutely authentic.  Unfortunately, those are the only autographs I'm really familiar with out of this batch, and I have no idea what to make of the seller overall.  And, obviously, the number of McCartneys did concern me a bit, though what I saw didn't really look wrong (though I'm obviously not very good with Paul).

All four Paul signatures look good to me. Just my opinion.

these should be okay , lot of daltry as this is his baby, he one of the leading lights of this charity, these concerts happen every year and these are signed from last year, hope this helps

Good to know - I was looking at some of those Daltry shirts.  Thanks for your help.

Looks like a number of people agree. The programs that include McCartney have the heaviest bidding, with a couple of them already over $300 with several days to go before the auctions close.  Thanks for your input.

The McCartney programs went for between about $400 - 525.  The multi signed shirt including McCartney went for about $250.  The record bag that included McCartney went for just over $150.

Hi There !

The Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity set by Roger Daltrey. Every year he organizes concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. The James Hewlett items are related to last year line up (McCartney, Weller, Kelly Jones, Florence and the Machine, British comedians...). I got lucky and won the T shirt. I can safely say that the signatures are real and not printed. It came with a receipt written on the Teenage Cancer Trust stationery. I even got in touch with them to ask why Roger Daltrey signature was missing... Greedy me ! They told me I could return the the t shirt if i was not happy ! Needless to say I'm keeping the T shirt !

Hi, and thanks for your feedback.

I won a few items myself from that most recent Ebay auction and am quite content with what I received.  The only issue was that some of the auctions ended at almost exactly the same time, making the last few minutes of the auctions a tad bit chaotic. :)

Hi Rich !

Same problem ! I had to make a choice so i went for the T shirt ! Last year I saw the McCartney gig and they were giving the program (unsigned of course) for free outside the Albert Hall. The problem with this program is that it is not glossy and more of a newspaper type of stuff. That's the reason why i didn't bid on those programs... Just for the record, the guy who won the leather bag put it bag on Ebay the following week. It went for £604.00...

Kinda looked that way from the listing.  The 2009 programs were pretty nice though.  No McCartney in those ones though.

And this year's line up is not very interesting comparing to last year's ...
