Hello, I'm Wally Anderson and I recently aquired at an estate auction a number of country, rockabilly and bluegrass signed pictures.

One of these is a PR pic of "The Stonemans"  (google and you'll get a wikepedia history)

They were a bluegrass group....

The question I had was, It has been laminated and should I remove the laminate?

Also, many of the Pics are personalized, Is it more or less desirable for an autograph to be "to" someone?

Thanks for any help someone can offer...Love this site!!

I doubt if you will be able to without ruining the photo. Laminate is usually sticky over the entire length of the plastic so it is actually stuck to the picture. That is the only problem with laminate it doesn't just stick around the edges.

Hey Chris, Thank you so much for your advice. I won't be trying to remove it.

I guess I assumed it was just stuck at the edges.....................Wally

Most people will say less disirable if personalized but if the signings are rare enough I don't believe anyone would really care as long as they are authentic.

Since I get most of mine in person a lot of the celebrities insist on personalizing or they will not sign. But I tell them if I am paying for the autograph i should have that choice.
