What do you guys think of this set.

Looks good to me. Looks to be fountain pen, with Beatles written by Paul.

Any opinions?

Thanks

Lewis

SOMEBODY TOLD ME ONCE PAUL USE TO SIGN THE OTHER GUYS SIGNATURES TOO IF THEY WERE NOT AROUND OR SOMETHING. DO YOU KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE? PRETTY WILD!

Yes, all the Beatles signed for each other. Quite common infact. I posted a set done by Paul here recently:

I think that that they are likely genuine from mid 1963 but it isn't one of those sets that just screams authentic at you, I think the fact that they are fountain pen makes a difference to the appearance. The George and Ringo are a bit shakey but I still think they are OK.

hard to be sure about these.  Personally I would not buy them.

thanks guys...yes agreed shakey...but as you say might be due to fountain pen

These look ok to me...

These look authentic to me.

Ballroom I respect your opinion on Beatles items.  this one still bothers me.

I respect you're opinion too, and understand why you would feel that way. I think that KarlKeaton and Lewis are correct that it's the type of pen that was used that makes them look a bit unusual.

I respect the opinions of all who offered an opinion so far. I do still believe they are authentic though. I will say though that with the price of Beatle autographs being what they are that I wouldn't buy them myself unless they were at a really good price; the reason being that there are plenty of those sets around that are genuine beyond any reasonable doubt.

I've always taken the opinion that if you personally have the slightest doubt then so will anybody that you might later want to sell them to or anybody that they might consult. A COA from Roger, Frank C, Tracks, Perry Cox would be another approach that would protect any investment you might make.

Thanks everyone, a bit of a mixed reaction!

i think they are real.
