Hello everybody!

I´m an complete newbie when it comes to TTM autographs, so I would really appreciate all the help I can get!

The reason for asking is that my parents-in-law are both huge Rolling Stones fan (and my father-in-law also collects music autographs...) and I have heard that Charlie Watts sometimes answers TTM "requests". Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Because if it is, I would like to write to him and maybe (I know it´s a longshot) get a dedicated signed photo for them! That would be a truly great gift!

I used the "Free Celebrity Address Search" on this site and got this:

Halsdon Farm Dolton Winkliegh
Devon, Devon EX19 8RF
United Kingdom
.
Is that the address you think I should use?
.
And what should I include in the envelope? I know that I should include the photo I would like signed, a short letter there I explaine why this would be appreciated and a prestamped return-envelope with my address, but anything else?
.
One last question, do you think it matters if I ask him to sign a photo of "just" him or a photo of the Rolling Stones as a group? Do you think one is more likely to "be signed"? And can I ask him to dedicate it to my parents-in-law?
.
Thanks for helping!!

Don, if you are not in the UK you need to go to a postal office and buy an international stamp. These things are a yellow piece of paper that Mr. Watts can trade for a stamp and return you an autographed item.  This is because no other stamps can be used in the UK to sendstuff other than UK stamps, therefore your stamp, whether it be from the USA, Mexico, Japan, the Bahamas or whatever, would not work as postage sent from the UK. Now, if you are in the UK, then obviously just send a regular S.A.S.E. As far as personalizations, Ive asked many times and it usually works, because stars realize then that you are not likely to sell it off.

Thank you Antonio, your help is much appreciated!

One supplementary question: To me it seems unlikely that Charlie Watts himself would take the yellow piece of paper/international stamp and go and trade these for an UK stamp, just to be able to return the signed photo to me in Sweden. I know that he probably have some sort of assistant for these things, but it still seems unlikely that he/they would do "all that" for me.

Do you know any way to get those UK stamps myself, so that I can send a prestamped envelope to him? I have contacted swedish mail to see if I can buy those here, so maybe that´s an easy solution to this "problem"... :-)

And do you, or anybody else, know if its the right address above?

Don:

I dont know if Mr. wATTS WOULD DO IT, BUT WHEN i DID IT WITH mAX sCHMELING, IT WORKED FOR ME.

I have no idea whether you can get other country stamps at your local post office but here in the USA I dont think you can.

Aboput the addy, I cant help you there, buddy.

Good luck, through!

I got his answer from the swedish Mail:

"Unfortunately there is no way for you to pre stamp postage for mailing from Sweden so that they can then send the shipment from England"

So it seems like I have a little problem here...

I guess that I can ask one of the UK dealers that I buy from if they can include some extra uk stamps the next time I buy autographs. Or can any of you UK based TTM collectors give me any tip on where to buy UK stamps and have them shipped to me in Sweden?

Thanks for helping!

Ant time you write a celebrity tru the mail its a crap shoot.charlie does sign thru the mail.go tocelwbrity8/10 .com dor pics to send. Good luck to you.

Thank you John Bailey for your help, but I can´t find the webpage you refering to. Can you please give me a link, because this sound interesting!

I found it... :-)

Some really good photos there, thanks for the tip John!!

Any UK members out there who can help me (who lives in Sweden) to get UK stamps, so that I can "prestamp" a return envelope for Charlie Watts?

All tips would be much appreciated!!! :-)

Don, try asking for an international stamp. Maybe they have these at the Swedish post offices...

Those are good for Charlie to trade them locally.

Thats the best advice I can offer. Good luck!

I will do just that, if I can´t get my hands on the "real UK ones"... :-)

Thank you Antonio once again, your help is much appreciated!!

Hello again Antonio! I hope everything is well with you!

This may be a stupid question, but should I include a pen when shipping?

And I have manage to get hold of regular UK stamps. A friend of mine were visiting London and bought them for me.

Of course, if anyone else feels like answering, I would appreciate that too... :-)

Help anyone?

This may be a stupid question, but should I include a pen when trying to get a TTM autograph...
