I sent a card to Al Pacino's fan mail address over a year ago and got this back. I have looked at the TTM autographs and this looks nothing like it. Did I hit the jackpot or is this just a fake. Would love to hear your opinions.

Thanks

Maybe, maybe not - but that's the problem with Pacino.  His signature is so bad at this point, that you pretty much have to get it youself (or from someone you trust implicitly) to be sure.  Sorry if that's not too helpful, but I seriously doubt there's anyone who can give you a definitive answer on something that simple.  Your best bet might be to try to find any inside knowledge on whether Pacino actually does sign through the mail.

I have not found anything that shows he does do any TTM signings. Thanks for your help though!

He does have a good reputation for signing in person.  Maybe it does translate to being possible to get through the mail.  And I would think that a secretarial would look much nicer, but who knows.

I think you are wright with the Sec. looking better. I think Im gonna make myself say its real enough for me to frame. That's the only reason I requested it anyway. My little girl can figure out all the real vs fakes when she inherits all my stuff anyway.

Thanks for your help!

Al Pacino's autograph is very difficult to authenticate.  Here are a couple of links that may be helpful.  The first link is to a previous discussion and the second is to a photo that was posted by another member.  Good luck.

His is all over the place, no rhyme or reason to his signature.

I think this is real as I have seen many of these in person. As mentioned by others, his TTM sig's are secretarial and would be much neater!

The attached is a slightly similar sig on a photo last year.

Best wishes,

Richard.

It does kinda match at least a few sections of that one. This is really making my day! I really appreciate everyones help with this.

I like it and think you have struck gold here

Thanks! It has made my day.

Very interesting.  I got one TTM once and it was neat, every letter perfect, obviously a secretarial.  I have since met him about 7 times in person, and it is true, his autograph is all over the place, sometimes, he doesn't even look at what he is signing.  I have gotten one that looks similar to this, so you never know.  Impossible to authenticate I would think.
