I've seen many Derek Jeter signatures over the years, some are god awful and pretty obvious forgeries that people try to sell but over the past year and a half or so I've seen this style of Jeter being authenticated by JSA more and more. I'm very interested in the thoughts of the other Jeter experts. On the second photo not only is the Jeter Bad but the Arod is bad too and James Spence somehow thought they were good and even signed off on the full JSA letter.

Go figure, someone is going to buy these photo's based on the fact JSA authenticated them.

I primarily trust JSA when it comes to authenticating sports autographs. I certainly agree that the items in question are not typical of Derek Jeter's autograph. I am interested to hear what others may have to say. In this day and age it may be worth the extra money to simply purchase a Derek Jeter autograph directly from Steiner Sports.
The "D's" are way off on these as well as the "erek" being placed too far into the "D". I'd have to say to the none Jeter expert/collector these would look pretty good but they are far from it.
I'd have to agree with Mike that Steiner would be the way to go, however people are looking for deals and don't want to spend the inflated prices on him so they buy this crap. I'm still trying to get over the fact that James Spence actually thought the combo photo was good and issued and signed the letter for it I thought he was better than that.
I was interested to hear what others had to say on these as well since there seems to be some members familiar with Derek Jeter signatures here but find it odd that no one else has offered their opinion on these forgeries..
I sent these to Cee Gee who is very good with Jeter and he said they "look off". Hard to tell.
I'm no expert on Jeter, but I thought the same, primarily starting with the first "D".
Jeter is one signer that is really hard to tell at times...I have seen some stellar fakes last year...The problem with Jeter is what you can say a "Moody Signer" kind of like Dimaggio was...his autos are all over the place...and when getting a freebee...well good luck...there usually down right hideous...even though these are the typical autos...I would trust JSA opinion on these...
This is in my personal collection...one of the best examples of an authentic Jeter that I acquired from Ebay not certified that if I remember correctly was from a charity signing...where he took his time and probably signed it for a child...Jeter usually almost always signs this right here is a perfect example of an authentic style...but his style has became much more sloppier over the last 2-3 seasons....
here is one my friend showed me because he was interested in it...not certified...seller claimed it was signed IP in Florida during spring training...as you can see it starts off ok then becomes hideous...my friend missed out on it then about 3 months later i seen it resurface on Ebay PSA certified and was being sold for like 300 bucks...
here is a Jeter signed jersey from Steiner...100 % authentic...but look at that formation...
This was a Jeter signed in person...not certified signed to my brother Timmy...and here is the image before it was signed..
