Oops - I´m registered for almost one year, but I forgot to write into this topic. Sorry. :)

I´m not from country where English would be native language => my English is a bit weaker. I´m huge music fan, I love music of 60s / 70s, my favourite bands started their career looong time before I was born... Some of them even disbanded before I was born. :) I´m not buyer / seller, I just love to have a chance to meet my heroes from those bands which I admire and that´s the reason why I have almost only in-person obtained autographs, with some of exceptions - but these usually have some very special story and also I buy some stuff from official merch stores at the concerts.

My favourite bands are Deep Purple (always number 1) and then... Queen, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Cream and many others. From musicians that I would love to meet but wasn´t succesfull yet I would name 3: Tony Iommi, Paul McCartney and Robert Plant. My worst missed oportunities - I never had a chance to meet Jon Lord and I missed my chance after Heaven and Hell concert with Ronnie James Dio. :(

Brian May is doing a book signing in NY at Barnes & Noble in October. Since I saw you were a Queen fan that may be of interest to you.  - Greg

I started collecting autographs in the late 80's. I'm a child of the 70's and ended up working in radio and the entertainment field so whenever there's an opportunity to get an in person autograph of someone that I dig I will usually ask for it.  Lately I've been hitting more of the in store book signings and always bring an extra piece of memorabilia for the wall if the artist is willing to sign it. Last week Dan Aykroyd was doing a signing of his Crystal Head Vodka bottles and he signed some photos for my son and myself which I posted in my photos.  I'm a pop culture lover so whether it's bobbleheads, old board games, advertising pieces from the 60's or 70s, music, film. I love to collect it all.  I rarely buy autographs unless they are PSA certified simply because these days there are a lot of scammers out there.  I'm new to this site and have been looking around at all the wonderful pictures and stories people are posting.  I submitted one question about a letter I received from John Kennedy Jr and hopefully someone with more knowledge than myself can take a look and see if they think it's legit.

I'm a guitar tech out of Dallas tx and have been collecting autos for about 25 years . Have some great items in my collection and some others I keep in a closet to remind me why it's best to get a second and third opinion before I buy , lol . Have many that I have received in person , Dimebag being my favourite ( received at a Stars game while waiting in line at a beer stand ) he signed my stars ticket stub . Anyways , I love this forum and site , have learned a lot here from many of you along with Steve and Roger . You guys are great ! Thanks for being here

I found this site by just doing some research. I have been collecting blues and Fillmore Era items for the past 20 years. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to meet and become friends with many of my heroes. I want to help people build their collection. Not by selling them things, but by helping them authenticate their items.

Hello, I started collecting baseball signatures as a kid, nothing too serious. Then a few years a go, I got a job working in a MLB clubhouse and my collection grew. I met several famous people in the clubhouse including actors, musicians, a couple of our Presidents. This started a new collection of any Presidential autos, esp on baseballs. I have also been collecting NASA signatures as I have always been fascinated with space.

Any help, suggestions, or friendly comments are very appreciated! Thanks and hope to get to know you all real soon.

I started as a Marilyn Monroe collector back in 1972. I thought she was the most beautiful woman i ever saw. I was 9 years old. I would got to New York City to collector shows that focused on movie items. I would also write to many of the classic movie stars and send them photos and a SASE so they could return the photos.  Ginger Rodgers would always have her asst. send a post card saying "Miss Rodgers is out of town but when she gets back she will sign your photos". I waited 2 years to get Ava Gardner's photos back! I know this because I would make a list of all the packages I would send out with the date sent. Bette Davis would only sign one at a time. I sent her two and she wrote me a note letting me know one at a time. lol. Danny Kaye returned my photos unsigned. Hedy Lamarr kept my beautiful 11x14 photos i sent to her and returned a 8x10 that i have displayed. Marlene Dietrich wrote me notes and even drew a picture on the back of one of the photos I have signed by her! You kinda knew who read your letter and who didnt. For example I asked Bette Davis to sign a photo from All About Eve "Its going to be a bumpy night" and she did! Alice Faye was wonderful about signing, I would send her 4 or 5 and everyone of them got signed. Joe Dimaggio would not sign the photo of him and MM but did sign the baseball photo i sent him.

Well I could go on and on.......I love my collection of autographs. They bring back memories of good times with my mom, her and I would travel just about any where we could to find movie posters, magazines, photos, autographs etc.

Hi Diane,  Was just curious if you had ever gotten a Rita Hayworth thru the mail.    I have a few but none thru the mail.
