DEPECHE MODE 2 out of 3 ain't good

Had 4 tickets to see Depeche Mode last night,show started at 8pm so to kill some time we went to the hotel were the guys stayed hoping to get autographs,at 4pm Andy Fletcher came out and posed for photos and signed a few items,at 5pm Martin Gore came out and again posed for photos and signed a few things,at 6 pm this little nasty guy with an angry face called Dave Gahan came over to us and said why aren't you at the FKN gig,I said that it doesn't start till 8pm but we do have tickets and will be going in a little while,to which he replied FK you...my other 3 friends went to the show but I didn't,I was so angry with Gahan's attitude that i went home,I will never spend another penny on anything to do with Depeche Mode,hes a nasty little guy with a bad attitude who should be gratefull to his fans and not talk to them like Sh**... has anyone else had a problem with Gahan?  by the way he never signed!!!!!!!

I'm a big fan of a band that toured with Depeche Mode last year, and a friend maintains a fan page for that band had made mention that Depeche Mode had at one time been very fan-friendly.  He did note that this is no longer the case.

Dave Gahan have been a very tough signer for the last 15 years. Last time I met the band, Dave walked by the 4 people that was waiting to get an autograph and just as he was getting in the car, I said to him: "Dave, show us some respect!" He turned around came back to us and signed one autograph each! He didn't say a word. Everyone was so surprised that he did this.

A friend of mine tried to get their autographs in Stockholm during the last tour and his experiences are very similar to yours.

It was before 1988 that the band was fan-friendly, after that, not so much.

thanks Bjarne, terrible that the little guy with a big ego should treat fans like that,you would expect Martin Gore to act like that considering all the music and songs were written by him(but he didn't and was a real gentleman),well I am now an ex fan,two of the people with me that he spoke to like sht have also travelled around Europe to see DM gigs but not anymore....DAVE GAHAN GET A LIFE  small man syndrome
