With the recent release of the films Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes I have rediscovered my interest in the Planet of the Apes films.  I even enjoy the 2001 Tim Burton Planet of the Apes film.  I therefore thought that it would be a nice idea to create a discussion for fans of Planet of the Apes to post any autographs that they may wish to share that are related to the films or anything else concerning Planet of the Apes.  This also includes the 1974 Planet of the Apes television series and the 1975-1976 Return to the Planet of the Apes animated series.  I’ll get it started with a couple of items that I recently purchased from Skyline Signatures.  The first is an Andy Serkis autograph and the second is a James Franco autograph.

Here's another tiny signature from Bradford Dillman form Escape From the PLanet of the Apes

This on I got from Don Murray when I brought him to the Hollywood Show last year. It was real nice getting to know him. It's the scene where Governor Breck is letting Caesar pick out his name from a book.

The Heston is a common secretarial.

Peter, how do you distinguish between real and secretarial?

I have always understood that the "r" is the most reliable indicator.  Sorry Lee.

Hi, Lee. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This is a classic "Challton" Heston secretarial signature. Until it was discovered, it fooled everybody, including PSA/DNA and the other TPAs. Heston, himself made a distinct "r" in his first name, where his secretary wrote it "C" "h" "a" "l" "l" "t" "o" "n", as in your two examples.

Thanks for the info Peter. I'm a little bummed but better educated.

I had a Ten Commandments Heston secretarial that I had to throw on the BBQ, so I know how you feel.

This is also a common secretarial.

The only signed Roddy item I have. Got it through the mail when I wrote to him in the mid 90s

Kim Hunter through the mail in the 90s, Linda Harrison in person in the 90s and Lou Wagner IP when I brought him to Hollywood Show last year.
