Hi Everyone, has anyone ever dealt with or have info on a collectables place called Gotta Have It Rock & Roll, located in New York, I am an Elvis fan and was a collector but my collection was purchased from "American Royal Arts" and am now involved in a lawsuit over forged COA's and signatures, so now I come upon a place having an "Elvis auction" Owners Pete Siegel, Ed Kosinski, Paul Allen. They have all sorts of signed collectables, Elvis jumpsuits, Lady Diana dresses, Bruce Springsteen guitars, on and on, their add states they get their things or work with Southerby's. Anyone here ever heard anything about this place?

They're a well-known, reputable firm. I thought just Pete and Ed owned it. Is that Paul Allen of Microsoft fame? He's a legendary rock collector.

In their auctions I have seen some great genuine items...and some pretty poor fakes.

I contacted them about two fake items in theit last auction. They withdrew only one item...and sold the other one for quite an amount of money.

You can read about it here: http://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blog/show?id=3524372%3AB...

For their latest auction I wanted to consign a Pink Floyd item...I received an email that it will be reviewed and that they will get back to me. I never got another email from them. I wrote at least another 3 emails asking about the state of affairs...but they just wouldn´t answer.

I don´t really care if they might doubt the authenticity...but never getting back to me is just POOR business.

So I had two bad experiences with them within a few weeks...and I don´t care how many great and authentic items they (might) have, I just wouldn´t buy anything from them.

Again: They do have many authentic items...but in my opinion not everything is legit, and I think they have a very poor costumer service. My two cents.

AB, nothing beats real life experience. And you reminded me of the situation you mentioned.

I will say that I am not aware of anyone who has purchased from them who has had authenticity problems, either with autographs or unsigned memorabilia. They should offer a lifetime guarantee of authenticity--check it, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't. Patty, call Ed Kosinski to discuss your interests, collecting history, etc. Both Ed and Pete are very nice, but Ed is especially knowledgeable on rock.

If you'd like, have anything signed you're interested in looked at by Epperson first. A quick opinion is only $15 and you can put it towards a full LOA if your bid's successful.

Thanks for that, they have an upcoming auction on some Elvis items, and as I browsed through their on line store, the have a wide variety of items from all over, Ali, a Lady Di dress, I see alot of clothing items. Rolling Stones jackets, as Steve can attest to I have not had good fortune with my collection and Jerry Gladstone & ARA, Christopher Morales and Elvis autographs. So I'm skeptical of everything now. That Customer Service issue would turn me off somewhat,

I believe there's another example here: http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/doors-signed-elektra...

The second contract pictured was sold in one of their recent auctions.

Pete and Ed are top notch in my book
