Thanks!

Very authentic!

Thanks Richard

What would you say is the average price for an authentic Lennon cut signature? It seems like on eBay, the asking price starts around $4000. You got a nice one for under $1900. Do you think there are others of similar quality in that price neighborhood that can be found?

Also, congrats. I know it's a great feeling when you finally get that piece you've been wanting for a long time.

Depends on a lot of factors. I'd say anywhere from $1500-$3500. The ones on ebay are over priced. The best place to get a Lennon would be RR auctions. In fact they have one on the auction block right now from 1963 price is alread up there. If you have the means, I would. They only show up for auction maybe once every 6 months to a year. Tracks auction is only once a year.

I've seen them go up to $2,000...just for a cut...

Thanks, Jim. Well, 2k is certainly a lot more doable than 4k. I have an Roger-authenticated Michael Jackson signed LP and an in-person Madonna, but I don't think there's a musician sig that I'd rather have more than John Lennon.

I was also watching the Tracks auction this morning. To me, the best deals were the autographed George Harrison album, the signed Beatles picture from Miami with Ringo's signature cut out, and the signed Parlophone single featuring three of the four signatures. The worse deal, I thought, were John's headphones. According to the description, John only used it for only 10 minutes, and had the technician put them away in storage because of their terrible sound quality.

If I was a multi-millionaire, I would have bid on John's guitar parts.

Yeah, headphones did seem like a ripoff. I would have liked something by Brian Epstein.
