I still don't think the first one is authentic, but who am I.
I have a dumb question. why would anyone even consider that first Joe D ball, which is questionable AT BEST, but is priced at 600 bucks? for half of that, you can get an authentic, much nicer version of his signature. I just don't get it.
I just put it up to get a QO not to sell but I did get offers lol. I wouldnt pay 600 for a prestine white ball unless inscribed with something crazy
I vote no on the first ball. The second ball looks like a sharpie ball I had signed many years ago (not the exact ball) and gave away after I got a pen signed ball.
it's a crapshoot, whether a ball yellows or not. I have balls that are 50 years old that look like they were signed yesterday, and ones that are 20 or less and are yellowed.
same here, I have snow white balls that are 30 yrs old and i have yellowed balls that are 5 yrs old
True, I have some myself. I read somewhere its about the makeup of the ball, but more discolor than stay pearly white. I prefer photos.
Ian that's a nice ball and one I would think is NO QUESTION authentic if I saw on eBay... Notice the "gg"s are much different, and are not identical, nor "vertical elementary gg's". Also the nice "flick" on the end of "e" in Joe is a tell-tale sign of speed. Very nice and bold, the toning does not bother me.
