Recently as a reward for my recovery from a serious illness, I treated myself and my wife to a Caribbean Cruise. One port was St Maartens. I went to the town's main drag to browse when quite by accident I came upon a little somewhat hidden shoppe named "The Yoda Guy". Talking about luck!! The store is owner and operated by Nick and Gloria Maley. Nick is the artist and creator of many of the characters from the Star Wars movie trilogy. 

I bought an 8x10 photograph of Yoda that Nick personalized and autographed for me. But here is the best part. The store is non-profit and donates a % of their sales towards an education fund for Caribbean children.

Also, you get a private tour if you buy something (anything at all) of Nick's museum that includes props from different movies that featured Nick's artwork. To name a few - Alien, Frankenstein, and of course Star Wars.

So if you ever get to St Maartens, visit "The Yoda Guy" shoppe.. You'll be glad you did even if you don't buy anything. Just have a conversation with Nick or listening in as he addresses school age visitors as an absolutely delightful experience.
