Musial Baseball

My friend just bought this Stan Musial baseball and brought it over. I don't know what the newer stamped balls look like, but it looks light to me and either the pen was crappy or there's blotting. Thoughts? I think he should send it back.

(warning--I am not a baseball guy) My first thought was the feel was right to me. It does not look like a stamped signature. I looked but couldn't find too many with "the Man" inscription. The first name looked ok. His "M" can vary but this looked close. There are a bunch of examples on his site if you want to compare at http://www.stan-the-man.com

I'm not an expert on his signature, but the "M" does not look right to me.  I'd pass on it.

I agree that the M looks off. Plus "the Man" inscription is definitely a rarity (at least from my viewing experience) making me think it's likely a forgery.

Musial's with "The Man" inscriptions aren't that rare, but this piece is definitely no good.
