Community Conduct Rules: What should they be?

We need rules of conduct for Autograph Magazine Live. We're going to put them in place today.

Simply asking a question don't get so touchy Steve.
A lot of the opinions on that thread were formed straight from the deposition so if you have a problem with it please take it up with those who stated those things.

And calm down sheesh

Why are depositions in an active case being posted on a public forum? Wouldn't that lead to that information possibly being inadmissible?

I was not asked for specifics, I was asked for dates which I gave. If you would like specifics on fake autographs sold through RR over the years I would be happy to make a thread, but I have no desire for it to be taken as an attack against them.

Please do .....I want to see all the fraud at R & R as I have spent 10k of dollars with them....

quite frankly this is starting to look like a huge conspiracy amongst high end dealers

where is the thread on the R and R lawsuit ..has it been removed ?

Sam,

No one connected with RR has pressured me into doing anything. A member of AML mentioned the RR discussion to me yesterday morning, and when I saw what was happening, I said enough was enough.

There have been a number of times when anonymous parties have thrown out all sorts of things and incited others without others here knowing where they're coming from. Are they competitors? Part of the forgery industry? People with grudges?

This is not about transparancy and holding people responsible. We will never stop that. It's actually about MAKING people responsible.

I'll talk more about the RR situation in that discussion later this weekend. But I will say this, you have to wonder about the ethics of a plaintiff and lawfirm that sets up a website and posts discovery and depositions that will taint a jury pool and cause a case to be tried outside the courtroom. I don't know of any respected lawfirm that would post depositions for public viewing before or even during trial.

How often have you seen depositions posted before trial? Go out on the internet and take a look. Edited clips of Justin Bieber's deposition on TMZ. Tom Cruise from his divorce in the Daily Mail. And members are being played by the plaintiff and eating it up.

It's the internet age Steve. The plaintiff feels the guarantee offered failed him. He's out what $90K+? No different then giving an online review of any company. I'd bet 95% of the population has no clue who R&R auction is. Hard to believe that tainted the jury pool. The depositions and smug attitudes have tainted my opinion worse then any of the legal documents. R&R just doesn't have any facts backing up their words. The can pretend that they don't want to try this in the media etc. that's what I'd say to if I couldn't prove any if what I was saying.

I'd be willing to wage a bet they get smoked huge in court.

Exactly, regardless of the motive behind it, it's RR themselves that are hurting their own reputation here. It's not wild speculation, it's going off of exactly what they are telling us. Collectors spend millions of dollars there every year.. Are we supposed to just ignore something like this?

I am with Rick on this, you come across at times protective of others regardless of facts, the Epperson 10K Led Zeppelin case opened my eyes about lots of things .....making me agree to agree to your choice of authenticator goes against the very reason you have a 3 rd party authenticator , now Roger may be right but you know what , he may be wrong and that that is why you pick a 3 rd party mediator .... someone unbiased ...someone without skin in the game..I think what they are doing is brilliant cause they are looking for a class action ....
