Look at the COAs on the Led Zeppelin album. Epperson sold it in March 2008, and the customer sent it to PSA/DNA three years later, in April 2011.

Epperson offered a 10 day return privilige where you can return it for any reason. And if the buyer wanted to send it to PSA/DNA upon purchase in 2008 he would have extended the return privilige.

AFTER the return privilege, Epperson's lifetime guarantee of authenticity was in force. And that is still in effect.

Steve,

Sending it to PSA does nothing if PSA is not recognized as an authority by Roger.  That is the issue here, not the return policy.  What good is a lifetime guarantee if the most respected authenticator is not even considered a valid opinion?

If any eBay seller had the same policy, they would be frowned upon by this community.  I respect Roger and his experience, but I believe if you are going to sell autographs and have a guarantee, you have to AT LEAST accept the opinions of PSA and/or JSA. I don't think its fair to the collector if Roger is the ultimate authority, and I believe that his guarantee, in it's current form, is worthless.

That's just my opinion on the matter.

No profanity (unless it's Fudd), no ALL CAPS posts, no spamming. Basic forum stuff.

Here's my thoughts on the "Full Name". I used to use my full name, and then some sellers I exposed began messaging me with my address threatening me. Some of these forgery sellers are the scum of the Earth and legitimate weirdos. We have seen what Roger/Steve have to go through with people like this. I'm not going to risk my personal safety/family safety over an autograph. I'm also not going to get sued over my opinion of an autograph, and trying to help others. If it came down to it, I would just stop posting. If others buy forgeries, that is there problem, not mine. I'm not going to risk my own safety/money to try and save someone I've never met from spending $100 on a fake Mantle. I slowed down tremendously a long time ago after receiving a message from Steve saying I need to be a bit more careful.

It's just not worth it for me. I'm just an autograph collector who enjoys helping others. Were all volunteers just trying to warn/help others. Not to mention having to "verify" real identities would be a logistics nightmare, we'd have an influx of "John Smiths".

That being said, I do believe if you are a professional in the business, you should use your real name. Perhaps we could have some sort of "Pro Authenticator" badge on their profile so others know they are the real person. (Similar to the "Verified" check on Twitter). Just like Twitter/Facebook, the "official pages" are a lot more careful about what they posts, as opposed to JoSchmo babbling anonymously. Which is understandable because they have reputation on the line, when others don't. These pros also shouldn't be expected to give their opinion for free all the time, and I understand when they don't.

That's good news Steve.
If their are/were allegations on their that are awakes please call people out as I think the truth is what is needed here.

I'm sure you understand why I asked the second question- other TPAs are bashed on here then all of a sudden when the TPA that advertises on this site is called into question a halt is out on it and then discussions are moved from the top content list. That's why I asked .

I was addressing Steve Zarelli ..but I also come straight out and accuse you of protecting Roger Epperson ...his thread is no longer on the front page ,

and I asked you if you paid Roger 10 grand for an item and PSA flunked it , can you see why the guy wants his money bank ..can you understand that ?

Posts move off the front page automatically based on newness (FORUM) or activity (TOP CONTENT).

Discussions like this one and the RR one were replaced by newer ones under FORUM. TOP CONTENT was showing the most active blogs and discussions from the past 30 days. I changed TOP CONTENT to show the most popular content in the last week to keep the most currently active content on the home page. 

Epperson dropped off.

RR will appear if it gets a lot of activity again, which it probably will.

As for the Led Zeppelin album, I'd want to find out if it was really real or not before asking for a refund, unless I bought it based on it passing PSA/DNA.

That is not true , PSA has Steve Grad for music ......your rebuttal is baseless as they are the largest and most respected TPA out there , with it flunking PSA ....you could never resell it ......

There is a reason on why Roger has not refunded the guys money and then just put it in the R and R auction where we now know Roger sells some of his items....
