What do you think of this John & Yoko dual signed paper back book?
The autograph page is yellowed but the signatures are clear. The book seems to be in
good condition. The price is right.
Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Thanks Terrier,

You're really supportive of my efforts. Thanks!

I'm glad you like the piece. That means a lot to me. I know that

you know Beatles signatures. This completes my Beatle collection.

I have all four signatures now. All well placed, fully formed and bold.

I really happy about this.

Thanks Again,

Dave Stein

I had all four of them on different items at one point.  I then obtained an album page with all 4 of them so I sold the individual items.  I really regret doing that now.  they were very nice photos.

Hi, David. Looks like you decided against the photo. Remember yesterday, I gave you the link to the Leland's auction for the Grapefruit book that sold for about $2800 signed by John and Yoko? Just wondering if that got you thinking about possibly getting one of those. That's a nice book. Congratulations! I actually had talked to the owner of Strawberry Walrus about possibly buying that very book. He also had it on eBay for $3450 for over a month but on his site for $3250. He told me he did not do lay-away; it never worked out for him. But he said if I bought it on eBay, he could give me about a month I think to pay it off. This was about a month or so ago.

Anyway, about the time I was ready to hit "Buy It Now" on the Grapefruit book, I ran across a signed and inscribed copy of "Profiles in Courage", John F. Kennedy's iconic book. I still wasn't sure which to get (I knew I couldn't afford both), but what tipped the scale for me was the fact that the JFK book was signed by then-Senator Kennedy on Nov. 7, 1957 on the campus of the University of Kansas, my alma mater! The girl who got it signed, a then 17-year-old freshman, gave a detailed account of how it all came about. Plus, the book comes with a sworn affidavit from her stating that JFK signed it in her prescence. I never even knew that JFK had spoken at the University of Kansas, but that was also confirmed by the JFK Presidential Library, even the exact date. Plus, I did a PSA/DNA Quick Opinion on it, and PSA said it was likely genuine.

Anyway, enjoy your Lennon, and now I have to start saving for one! :0)

Thanks James,

That was a great post to me! So you were weighing the 2 of the autos. JFK at U of K huh?

Congratulations! That was a wonderful purchase. You've got a sworn back story on it.

It's the real deal. I'm so happy for you. I know how much you love JFK.

Yes, I was the guy that bought the Ono Grapefruit Book. We did a lay away. I will have to save, save,

save for it and sell some of my musical instruments to buy it. I think the price was fair. If you consider

that a plain old decent cut Lennon piece goes now for $3,500.00 these days, I'd say I did very well with these clear/well placed dual signatures.

Gary at Walrus seems like a nice guy and fair too. I'm going to buy a nice picture of John and Yoko

and frame it with the book's inside autographed page open. I don't want to display the cover of the book. It's a shot of Lennon's ass I think-LOL! I'm happy with the purchase. I wish it was one of Lennon's books but oh well.

Thanks Again For the Awesome Post

Dave

Hi James,

I hope you are well.

Can you do me a favor and delete. The message you sent me above us.

I'll copy and paste it for you if for some reason it does not appear.

Thanks + Be Well,

David

Congratulation!! David,

I really want to have one like yours but it is really beyond my budget. I have just got Elvis autograph that previously discussed in this forum last week.

Hope you enjoy your historical piece!!

Great Dave good piece.
My latest was dead weather hand painted record I'm good for 6 months now.
How many times did lennon attend signing session ?

Lennon and Yoko signed copies of the paperback edition of 'Grapefruit" on July 15, 1971 at Selfridges book dept in London. He also signed at the "Helping Hands" benefit for WFIL radio in Philly in May 1975...The Beatles had a signing session when their 1st single,"Love Me Do" was issued on Oct.6, 1962 at Dawson's record shop in Widnes UK....where they singed copies of the record
