I bought this piece at an antique store for 40 bucks. Figured even if it is a fake, it's still a nice picture to hang up.

Let me know what you guys think.

I know it's not the best quality though.

Thanks a ton.

I'm on the fence, the picture is a bit far away and blurry, the Yastrzemski part of the signature looks right but the Carl seems a bit off...can you get a slightly clearer photo? If love to see the pen stroke, speed, etc

Authentic in my opinion but we really do need a clearer picture to be sure. Terrier is one of the resident Yaz experts on here and will likely respond soon.

I hope these are more clear photos of the signature.

Thanks for the quick responses so far guys! I really appreciate it.

Authentic in my opinion, the blurriness was hard to see through on the first one.

absolutely authentic. I have the exact same photo signed, and I also have one of his game used black bats that is shown in the picture.

That is awesome news! Thanks for the timely response terrier.

Out of curiosity, how much would this go for? I'm not looking to sell at all. Just curious. And also, would you know how to get it authenticated? Even though I trust your opinion on this more than some of these authentication places.

It is only worth $75 or so. Not enough to warrant paying for a 3rd party opinion. Terrier is better than the 3rd party authenticators on Yaz IMO.

thanks Randy.  To be honest, I have seen all of the TPA's offer incorrect opinions on Yastrzemski signatures.  But.......its been in the direction of authenticating something that was obviously fake.  I do believe this would pass PSA or JSA.  Randy has the value right on.

for reference here is mine.  almost identical, and signed in almost the same place, likely at the same signing sometime in the late 80's.
