I remember seeing a similar one of these a while ago, and getting similar opinions. I don't think so unfortunately :/
ok thank you !
Hi everyone - can someone give me an opinion on this autograph? Is it genuine? I received it as a gift a few years ago from a real Lord in England, who was friends with MJ so i guess it is the real thing.
The big problem as you can see is it has faded completely so only the pressure mark is left - i assume this isn't worth anything so would you recommend restoring it purely for personal value? Thinking about having it traced...
Any comments much appreciated,
Colum,
It's really hard to see, but I see things I like on it and not much that concerns me. If you could take photos without a flash and with a light angled to show the autograph as clearly as possible, that could really help.
And for mine please ?
Thanks for the quick reply Steve. I'll try again over the weekend and upload them - not sure if i'll do much better though as the ink has totally faded unfortunately. Is there any way to preserve it like this? I know it sounds awful to think about tracing over it, but it would just be so that at least I know it was once signed by the man himself. What do you think, or would this be a tragic mistake and it is just better to commit it to memory!
Thanks again
Colum
I definitely wouldn't trace over it. If it were mine, I'd leave it as-is. You could go to a paper and memorabilia restorer and ask them to bring out the writing, but you'd would need to identify it as being enhanced if you ever sold it.
