We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Add Jerry Lee Lewis to your list. This is done through his wife's Facebook page.

$100 per autograph. Make sure if you send money that you do not get it personalized. If you do multiple hands are at work on the autograph. Just tell them you want Jerry Lee Lewis' signature and nothing else on it. Mark Roberts can confirm this as well for you all.

Lord have mercy.

Hahaha, that´s funny Ballroom... :-)

Not sure "why Lord Have Mercy" - you are the only one, of the very few ,Ballroom,  who thinks that everything thru the mail from Jerry Lee Lewis is "real".  There are A LOT of people, including people who authenticate for a living who think a lot of the ones coming thru the mail are not authentic.  Jerry Prater has first hand knowledge of what goes on there.  He is and has been part of the Jerry Lee Lewis circle for years.  Jeffrey Pater knows more about Jerry Lee Lewis than ANYONE on this site.

Thank you, Mark. If there are A LOT of people who feel that way, someone should be able to show some examples of secretarial characteristics.

Also, keep in mind that PSA/DNA has authenticated JLL signatures that you apparently believe to be secretarial.

Lets see - there are 2 discussions on here with about 20 pages per -  With plenty of examples.  You believe one thing and that's ok.  BUT there a lot of persons who believe otherwise.  So stating to someone on here if you spend $100 and expect to get a real one.. buyer beware is all.  That's a good thing.  You have been shown many times Ballroom and by Roger before he left the site.  You just don't agree. Which is ok.

Mark

You kindly posted a comparison of yours and Mark Peterson's TTM JLL signatures. Why don't you show exactly what distinguishes the two signatures in such a way that only yours should be considered authentic? That would be something substantial.

Ballroom - I dont want to highjack this thread.  I will comment on the Jerry Lee Lewis thread.  But for the record - I never said Mark Peterson was secretarial.  I am actually not sure on his.

Mark

Why does everyone feel that PSA/DNA authentication has value?

True.  I got back 2 different 'To Steves' on my items.

Something became of the Great Kat? I got her to sign something for me 20 years ago on a whim and had not heard of her since.
