We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

This is a great album guys and girls

many thanks Alan!

I rarely have issues with the authenticity of items purchased from artist stores or CD stores selling promo items (i.e. Newbury, JB, MyPlay, etc), but I picked up these two fairly recently, and they just don't look like IP examples.  Granted I'm not a subject matter expert on either.  Adam Lambert (from JB Hi Fi) looks a bit more nice and detailed than some of the IP examples on Ebay.  Charli XCX (from Warner Ireland) looks quite small, a pretty significant contrast to the huge sig she usually gives out in person.

50 cent has a signed mini poster for sale 25 bucks on his site. Im hoping to attend a effen vodka bottle signing later today at a state store in Philly.

Given the current state of 50 Cents finances, with him declaring bankruptcy, it might not be a good idea to send them any money for merch until things get sorted out....

And just back from his bottle signing in Philly. I suspect he is nowhere near broke, just hiding his money. He was very nice to his fans with handlers taking photos for everyone and I believe he signed one extra item per bottle though I was about 20th in line and there was still a mob when I left.

Eminem Autographed Poster with hoodie and tshirt for $200.  Get it while it lasts.

Thanks Michael.

Just ordered one.

I ordered one as well....just curious, has the eminem store ever sold autopen signatures? I missed the last times autographs/Lithographs where being sold.

How do you guys determine that an autograph is worth what us being asked for it? For instance, this one. Is there a basis of comparison or just experience in buying various autographs?

Nailing down an exact price is often difficult, especially if it's something of a unique item.  In the case of reselling ones that are "mass produced" (i.e. those discussed in this thread), you can always just spot check previous sales on Ebay for an idea.

I think 200.00 is fair considering that it's coming with a CD, a T-Shirt, a hoodie and a digital album. But it really is up to the buyer to decide its worth.  For me, I like to go on eBay and look at the prices of what has already been sold.  I also consider the amount of fame, success achieved by the signer.
