Some time ago I seen a beatles set that had been restored By a professional, they touched up the boys signatures around about 15 percent of the signatures were reworked.

Does anyone have any idea if this is a good idea to have signatures restored and would anyone have any pictures of reworked autographs.

Does it effect the value of the sets or signatures?

Not sure why the photos are not showing up in the thread, but as image files you need to click on to see. Sorry about that.
Sandy,

To get them to display as images, upload them using the second icon on the editing toolbar. Otherwise it just upload them as attachments.
I think they should be sold as-is. It's going to be really hard to fix them up, and ethically, you'll need to describe them as restored.
2 out off 3 aren't so bad. The 2nd is a mess.
I don't see any editing toolbar...maybe because I'm on my iPhone?

I'm so bummed about the smudges, there aren't even words.
:(

I never considered them saleable...who would want that? :(
Thought maybe it's better to "fix" them so at least they look nice and someone might want to display.

I never sold something from Michael before...I think these are the only ones I would consider because of smudges but then who would even want to buy that.
Sandy,

Yes, it's probably because you're on your iPhone. I don't have a toolbar visible to me right now because I'm on my iPad. The system is outdated and sucks in some places, sorry.

All three of them are salable, it's simply a matter of price.
I think they are neat pieces. Smudges happen.

It makes you think about what does happen??

Most reliable Beatles dealers look for work thats been done and will let the buyer know.
Here's one at rockawayrecords thats had an autograph whited out in the middle.

Does it effect the value? I'd say. It makes your piece worthless. That is highly unethical and stupid. Don't mess with it.
