This is not even close to authentic and the seller has the nerve to say it's for some charity. (Plus he has ZERO feedback and the "COA" is probably made up.

Good memory Steve Cyrkin -- I knew that COA looked familiar. Looks like Nurse isn't the only one using R&M Real's services. 

Without looking at the bid history, my first impression is that it would have to be shill bids.  I see plenty of fake signed guitars. but most Ebay buyers leave them alone.  These forgeries aren't nearly good enough to fool even a marginally competent U2 fan or collector.

The other possibility is that some supposedly "credible" outside source is promoting the auction guitar as authentic.
