Dear all,

I bought this a few months ago from Mill Creek Sports, which, according to many AL'ers, has a very good reputation (at least for sports memorabilia). Please see both photos attached. To me, it appears typical and looks like a sit-down piece or something close to it. However, I am not very familiar with DeNiro's signature. Could someone please help? Any experts of DeNiro's autograph?

I don't believe anyone can claim to be an expert on DeNiro's autograph, there is nothing regular about any of his in-person graphs. What I can say is ...that is the nicest sample of his autograph that I have seen in a very long time. Congrats.

Thanks again Pete. I was afraid it was indeed too "nice" to be true/real. But your input is quite reassuring.

Any more opinions?

Great signature

Thanks Peter. The growing positive input is reassuring.

These are more like his usual ...

Great pieces Pete. So I'm guessing mine was probably signed in a quiet/sit-down setting? Probably a private signing? Or it could be less recent than yours? It looks more similar to the middle one. It was sent to PSA/DNA by Mill Creek Sports (at least, that's what it says when I look up the code online).

Very nice pieces Pete.

I do not believe that this Robert De Niro autograph was signed in a controlled setting.  It is more typical of an in-person Robert De Niro autograph.  It appears to be genuine JH.  Congratulations on a very nice piece.

Many thanks, Mike. It is part of the earlier autographs I purchased when I started collecting last year. At the time, I did not know the good IP dealers and was afraid to buy outside PSA/DNA. Of course, now I know better and I am more confident buying when I know the source. This is why I got suspicious with all these early pieces I've bought from high-volume sellers who very much rely on 3rd party authentification.

What film is the image from?  I am having some difficulty identifying it.  Is it Once Upon a Time in America?

Yes, it is. By far my favorite film. Which makes the piece all the more precious to me :) I've been looking for an authentic Sergio Leone for some time, without any luck.
