I made it to the recent Comic con for the first. It started out a little rocky untill I figured out the system and then it got fun. My main goal was to get my Star Wars poster signed by David Prowse and my Superman poster signed by Margot kidder. I also had the original lp soundtracks for the 2 movies. I decided to have Margot sign my poster and the soundtrack cover. The first item I lay down on the table is the poster. Kidder asked me if blue was ok and I said that would be fine. She signed the poster and added Lois Lane without any problems. The next item I lay down is the all black soundtrack cover for Superman the movie. So we know this has to be signed in silver. I know all about the sketchy silver ink. Margot starts to sign the cover and the ink is not flowing that well and real lite-she goes back over the M in Margot and now you can see the go over lines. It never fails that one signature is going to get screwed up. Its best they just leave it light and not go over it. She only charged 20.00 so not a big deal and I'm happy with the poster.

Don't worry about it. NOBODY will ever think it's non-authentic. This happens and a lot of celebs do that. Singer of Bad Company/Free ... did that with mine. Plus, you have the photo
Thanks for the encouragement Josh. I like to have clean signatures. I have had alot of bad luck with silver pens. They are either to light or they don't dry quick enough and smudge. Sorry to hear about the Paul Rogers situation. Would that be the black Bad co Bad co lp cover? I have that cover signed in silver by Rogers-didnt smudge. I also have the free lp signed. Simon kirk signed some for me as well when he played with leslie west at the tragic Station nightclub in Warwick.
Hello,
I have the same sort of thing on a vintage 1952 candid of John Agar and Jack Paar signed by Agar for Violet Zane. The fountain pen, blue IIRC, essentially was DOA and just left the impression, and Agar simply took a black pen and just signed right over it. It is unique, that's for sure. One can't be too choosy with vintage signed candids IMHO.
Best wishes,
Eric
If you didn't tell us that there was an issue, I don't think most folks would notice it.
