I'd like to have a second opinion on this Redd Foxx autograph.  I think it is likely authentic; I've compared to several signed checks and other examples I have gathered and this one checks out well.  Any opinions appreciated!

It looks good to me Mike as his "straight line" autograph.  The Redd he seems never to really changed in any of his signings.

Thanks Scott. I agree, it is just that last name that throws me off. Those 1985 checks still confuse me; they look so much different than his other signatures.

I was the same way until I saw oil paintings that Redd did, and his signature on the paintings had the same "straight line" to them also. For whatever reason he used two types of signatures although the Redd is almost almost always the same. I am convinced the two signatures are both his. I doubt we will ever know the reason why.  Prince C. Spencer his manager was able to sign his business account checks but apparently only using his own name and not Redd's.  I do agree it is a puzzle why he did that especially on checks.  I wish we had a wider range of known dated material from him.
