Has anyone ever gotten stuff framed out of their country before? The place Famous4Framing is where I want to get some stuff framed. They are in the UK and I'm in the USA. They have really nice framing options and I know what their final outcome looks like on their items. It's just I've never sent anything out the country or anywhere for that matter to get something framed other than brought something locally to a shop. The reason why I want to do this is because of the outcome of their items I really like. It's just a very beautiful display piece.

I'd question whether this is necessary for one thing. I think there are plenty of framers in the US, perhaps even closer to you, who can do "artistic" displays like those you may be interested in. There are a few considerations with this place you're looking at. Shipping costs for one. Getting your framed item back from the UK will cost quite a bit due to the packing requirements and size/bulk of the item. Also, if they don't pack your item sufficiently, there's plenty of opportunity for your frame to end up smashed upon arrival.
Also, cosmetic appearance aside, does this company have a good reputation for framing correctly? If this is something valuable to you, I'd be more interested in the quality and preservation.
I've ordered three items from this place since they also sell Autographed Memorabilia. They pack the items very very securely so there is no damage, the price of the frame job would be £150 and the shipping cost is about £50 which I have no problem with doing that.
Examples of their framing look like these.
I guess it's mostly a matter of your securely packing the item when you send it.
I don't gather this route is too common - i.e. sending things overseas for framing. I still think there are framing shops who could do something similar (Antiquities, despite it's record for peddling ridiculous forgeries, show many interesting framing options with elaborate displays).
Again, you might want to investigate whether they're actually doing a quality, competent framing job instead of focusing entirely on how it looks.
The Uma Thurman I have is framed in Glass, Colored dual matted Cardboard cut out display. The first mat is Yellow, Second mat over it is red and cut out to display the letters of "Pulp Fiction" Above that it says "Authentic signature of Uma Thurman" I'm not sure where the colored cardboard is from but hey I love the look of it. As far as the back of it it's securely taped up all around the boarders with some brown tape it's stapled underneath. I'm not too sure what it is and the back of it has a really secure hanging wire. The frame itself is a black ash frame.
rich is right about whether it is being framed correctly. I am not sure how large your frames are but that is a very cheap price for uk framing
The frames are usually 16.5X16.5 or 16X17 if it's a 11X14 photo.
