I hate being outbid by one bid too and it has happened more than I care to remember. I'd much rather be blown out of the water completely.
If I really want something I now put in a bid far higher than I really want to pay and just hope that it goes nowhere near that. If I still get beat then I'm more than happy to let the other nutter have it.
Even if you are the underbidder you never know how high the winner might have gone unless it is auction without a fixed end time (like emovieposter.com where bids made in the last five minutes trigger an automatic extension of the close time).

Do you know if the promo cards are a postcard or an actual black and white photo?
If anyone knows chime in.
It's not an official promo card as such, The Beatles never handed these out. It's of a type of picture card that was commonly sold here in the UK in both shops and by mail order by companies like Breville and Starpix
So I'm thinking a black and white photo would be worth a little more, if they produced a number of these cards.
I'm just sounding something out, haki.
Do you think black and white signed photos are worth more than a signed postcard?
Well I think it's on an item to item basis, how it looks, signed on the front or back? That kind of thing.
Myself, I prefer those commercial photo cards because you don't see them quite as much as the promo cards and quite often they are larger too.
What do you think the commercial signed cards sell for?
Haki has snagged them at auction for 5800.
