I wan't to frame this and I'm not entirely sure what do. Any ideas design wise, let me know. I have put together some very rough ideas using an awful art software. These are just ones that I thought of and if any one has a suggestion I'm sure it's better than these!

For the J5 one I would probably have to get better photos and of course find signed cards from Jermaine, Tito etc.

Why wouldn't you try Gold Frame with a red velvet fabric mounted to the back ?

Patrick.

Hi,

Perhaps a photo with him wearing a glove? Make the autograph more visible by using a mat color that accentuates the glove (dull silver/grey not loud mat color) and perhaps the ink or etc (ticket?)? In my experience red and gold work best at (presumably) Graceland, the White house, palatial spots in Europe and on the QM2. But that is just my own opinion. In this case that combination might overtake the sig, photo and everything else. Perhaps a ticket stub might be a cool addition!

The J5, your mat and that red overtake everything IMHO. The mat is so close to the blue in the image lower left. The last - try to select may colors that are picked out of the image (does not have to be "color" can be a grey for b/w photo) or sig etc to provide cohesion. Just my .02.

And a b/w photo will not overtake the other items like a color image would. I would look for an Official product of some kind, a promo 8x10 etc. I'd also not get a very large image - you want the sigs prominent I'm sure.

Hi Mo,

I agree re ticket date and photo. However, some tickets I am seeing from 84-88 (Wembley is nice) and thereabouts have a bit of various colors - and that just might assist moderating the color of the paper your signature is on. Just a thought. It was/is late and I perceived that glove, perhaps incorrectly, was a three dimensional item. If not, I might consider not even including a glove photo. On the other...what, hand? Sorry! ;)

Eric

Hey Mo,

It is a genuine glove! Wonderful! If many have framed their gloves, and you want to have something different (and avoid a deep shadow box), perhaps a very different approach is called for? Small table with vertical hand model in a suitable pose, with glass over it, and behind, on the wall, the sig and photo framed to kill/thrill? The base for the hand model and the frame could be matching colors...many exciting options!

Eric

Exactly! A wall shelf. Something old looking, Classic/Greek etc. in style, in an aged silver finish perhaps...that matches the frame and further enhances the bright silvery glove. A single tiny spotlight on the ceiling aimed at the glove and hitting the framed items...could be magic. Might also create wonderful reflections like a disco ball.

Eric

The glove reminds me of thing from the Adams family.

Hi Mo,

I'm glad you like the idea. I am working on a Hendrix/Woodstock ticket/photo display at the moment so not able to really make a good mock-up right now, but you surely know more than I what you want the image to do. For me, it would have to show action. And, I love b/w. Perhaps a "glove/action/live" photo and a same-size b/w portrait with the sig in the middle (maybe with ticket below).

If you can get someone skilled with image editing, both b/w images could be made to match the color of the slip of paper (but not as saturated so the sig still stands out). If you can't hide it, run with it big! That color will work with silver. It would be lost with gold and I am not a fan of gold - for me.

Eric

Thanks Mo.

I am working on placing him (his sig) in the sky above a sea of faces - from his vantage.

Eric
