Hi, Friends,

It's been awhile since I've posted here.

Henry Ford sure was a complex man.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Thanks - good story. 1933 "Safety Class (Glass?) Exhibit" - 1933 Chicago World's Fair?

Thanks, Eric. Good catch.

I haven't been able to find anything on the Safety Glass Exhibit. Was it at the Chicago World's Fair?

Hi David,

I will check. My area is the 1939 NY Fair, but I will look into this.

Eric

Hi David,

There is a souvenir token from The Safety Glass Sharpshooters at the Ford Safety Glass Exhibit at the Chicago WF, so I am guessing yes.

Thanks, Eric. I appreciate your expertise.

I will add that.

David

If you check out the Lelands auction, a 1964 World's Fair Sign is doing really well. It's pretty ordinary, to my mind.

I didn't know that there are '64 collectors

OH my goodness, yes! That is white hot - 1964. has been for some time. 1939 is more my style:

And Ford in 1939. This is a small detail from a 10" positive transparency.

Sure, no problem. I might be able to get a photograph of the exhibit if you like. An author I did some editing for has a 1933 Fair book if I am not mistaken.

That would be cool to add, definitely. Thanks, Eric.

David
