Paul McCartney thoughts please

Hi,

I'd be grateful for thoughts on this one - I bought it from the music exchange shop in Notting Hill Gate, London, around 15 - 20 years ago for not much at all so assumed it was fake but took a chance anyway. Have just dug it out and would appreciate the thoughts of people in the know! :)

“So Bad” is one of the best tracks on this album, and unfortunately it also describes the signature.

Agree it does look off. I think this looks like one of the more recent forgery styles.

I think I like it. If it is by a recent forger it goes against the OP of having got it 15-20 yrs ago. My example is an in person I got from Paul in Toronto around the same time frame. There is some variation from the surface of the item signed etc etc. The P and a are fairly consistent.

Thanks - appreciate the response. Yes, it's at least 15 years old. Well done for getting your Paul signature in person - that's a sure way to ensure a signature is real and a lovely experience to meet the man himself! I'll go with the majority on this one I think - perhaps I'll just put in back in the drawer where I found it rather than putting in the trash just yet! :D

It was October 25, 1991. We actually had a few minutes and were not that rushed. He and I and Linda alone in the lobby of the theatre where the Get Back movie (McCartney tour version) was premiering. It appears rushed as the sharpie on the plastic of the guitar (a Selcol New Sound) went on very smooth and quick, no resistance. Nice IP but i always wonder if I should have asked him to sign the front and not the back. My reasoning was the signature on the front would be much smaller.
