Thanks.   Love Taj.   Met him at a sit down signing after a show a number of years back.   He refused to sign an album I brought.   Would only sign merch bought at show.   Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Grew up with Taj and Ry Cooder among others, great musicians. Sorry to hear about the meet and greet though. That's a bit uncouth.

I love music of the Taj, however he is an odd sort of performer.  

I have seen him twice in the past few years.  Time before last he actually scolded the audience for making too much noise.  Nobody in the audience was making any noise except between his songs to applaud him.  The last time, he finished playing his last song, sat his guitar down, and without saying a word left the stage never to return.  If he chooses not to do an encore, that is his business and I can't criticize him for that.  But he could have at least said goodbye, or thank you, or that's all folks or anything.  Never seen another performer do such a thing...
