Hey everyone I am new here.  I found the website attempting to find help in figuring out who autographed a guitar I recently acquired.

I acquired a Squire Bullet Strat with four autographs on it.  The original owner got it in 2010 (the serial number also indicates the guitar is from 2010).  He worked at a casino with high rolling gamblers and would entertain them at after parties and what not.  My understanding is the band signed it while at the casino as a promotion.

Could you help with identifying these autographs?  He cannot remember the band who signed it.  I also have no sort of certificate, photographs, etc.

Thanks for any help!

I apologize for the size of the images, I edited them in photoshop for file size but not actual image size.

1) image of the guitar

2) appears to be "Love, Kate"

3) I am not sure Maybe "Cindy" and a last name?

4) appears to be "Kay"

5) I am not sure maybe a "T" "R" and an "L"

I think it's the B-52s.

Rich,

Thank you for answering Kurt's question. Do you know about enough about the B-52s to give an opinion on the authenticity of the autographs on the guitar?
I'm impressed that you were able to identify the band. The autographs look naturally signed and not in the same hand, so I think they have a good chance of being genuine, but I don't know the band's autographs much at all.
Rich,
Thanks for your input. Did a quick google search and it appears to be the B-52's, which makes sense because the original owner kept saying bee gees (which wouldn't and couldn't be the band). He had the right first syllable.

I haven't dealt with a lot of their stuff but did get them for an ex-girlfriend in the 2000ish range.

That is the B52's Cindy, Kate, Keith and Fred.

and they look exactly like they should.

Agree, I just looked at some examples and these seem fine.

Thanks everyone for your input and help. I truly appreciate it.

Would it be worth investing any money to get the autographs authenticated? Not sure if the autographs hold that much value to invest paying a company to verify they are real. I have hardly any money invested in the guitar so far.

Hi Kurt,

That might depend on what your intentions are. If you wish to hold the item and enjoy it, additional authentication is not a priority. If you are looking to sell the guitar, then "papers" might be useful to maximize value from/for most collectors. I have doubts about the page of signatures you posted, at least as far as the Bowie which is no good IMO, and would advise not spending $ on that.

Eric

Eric,
I appreciate your thoughts. I am slightly confused. Are you maybe confusing me with another member? I have only posted on one thread, this one. I have no other signatures on the forum.

Hello Kurt,

Yes, my mistake. There are three current "Identification" threads in Music Autographs and Memorabilia at the moment, two and then yours. My mistake. Disregard my comments after those concerning your B-52's guitar.

Eric

No worries at all. Again thank you for your thoughts/help/time

Kurt

Anybody know who this is
