Check out this simply putrid-looking and laughable Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball "authenticated (cough, cough)" by Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators group.
This is so laughable it's sickening.
The only people who buy and sell crap like this are people who know ZERO about autographs and scammers.
There is no gray area here.
It's sickening because this GFA-certed crap continues to infect our autograph hobby.
Forged inscriptions also lure the Ebay wannabe autograph collectors and suckers to an auction like with the "No 7" inscription.
The below ugly Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball is listed by Ebay seller Gofsu2010.

What's really laughable is the below auction description posted by Ebay seller Gofsu2010.

It's Ebay, so it's no surprise that the wannabe autograph collectors and suckers are bidding on this crap from Ebay seller Gofsu2010.
Sellers of these GFA-certed forgeries continue to infect our hobby with their garbage.
I have a question that I am not sure anyone can really answer. with that "iron clad" guarantee that is so prevalent and advertised on that gaudy, ugly COA, has anyone ever sent one of these pieces of crap back? I would love to know how they get around this. the educated know this is a scam, but are helpless to do anything. it is the uneducated buyer that is impressed with the window dressing. but it is a cancer infecting the hobby and turning ebay into an organized Craig's list. what a great hobby. but there is good news, for the collectors that take the time to study autographs, you can get some amazing bargains from the reputable sellers that are not part of this circle of deceit. but pretty sad that the forgeries are selling for more than authentic items.

If you are a buyer who knows what you are doing, there are great bargains to be had thanks to these mass produced fakes flooding the market and ballooning supply. Enjoy it now, because you'll be crying when it comes time to sell. And every day that passes they keep pumping out more and more.
There are some great bargains on Ebay as Terrier has mentioned.
But the wannabe autograph collectors and suckers on Ebay are mesmerized by the "Lipstick On A Pig" GFA-certed forgeries.
someday it will blow up, and they will all be stuck with this crap, and they will have that nice GFA cert to remind them of the screwing they took.
There are already people who buy this GFA-certed crap at a price that they think is a "steal" and then they try to flip it the moment they receive it.
Below is an example of that.

That "Guarantee" crap is BS!!!
I don't know of anyone who can actually contact Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators group.
Like I've written numerous times, if you buy and sell this crap, you either know ZERO about autographs or you're a scammer.

So now GFA is certing the old school banana Mantle style fakes as well as the Florida fakes. Apparently all that scary "forensic expertise" is unable to identify shaky and slowly drawn loops on the Ms... traits that appear strikingly obvious even to a layman's eye.
And apparently the same "court-qualified forensic experts" also don't have copies of common, widely documented forgery styles in their super-duper exemplar files.
What a joke.
whatever happened to Ebay's list of banned COA's? this should be a the top, in all honesty. by allowing these GFA certs to be represented on Ebay, they are complicit in the deception.
check this out: look at the in depth evaluation of these forgeries:

Here is that "In Depth Evaluation" by Stephen Rocchi.
It's an laughable as the forgeries he certs.
