Was gotten through a charity auction put on by a hospital in Las Vegas. Comes from Art of Music stores in Vegas. Apparently purchased for $6,000. I have the COA and am interested in selling it, even well below its value, but this process is so confusing. Heard the Art of Music was questionable elsewhere on the web, but, really what is the likely hood of this being a fake as well?

Thanks,

Chris

You often can get a charge-back on your credit card, but you have to be very careful to follow the rules. Did the items they bought come with authentication?
Did they get a refund Garry?

The fact that "Mick" is misspelled on the COA doesn't inspire confidence.

Also, the sad reality is that charity auctions are very often loaded with fakes.  There are third party companies that supply charities with "memorabilia." The well-meaning people from the charity have no idea they are getting fakes.

When I see something as coming from a charity auction, I don't even bother looking. That's how prevalent fakes are in these auctions.

Maybe it´s not a missspell.... Maybe  "Mic"  has signed them :-D
Sounds good that this was bought through a charity auction. Sounds like it was donated. Not exactly the case. Dealers assign junk to charities with a reserve they get when it sells. For example say $750. The charity does all the work advertising and displaying. If it sells the dealer gets his $750 and charity keeps anything that it sells for above that. If it doesn't reach the minimum then the charity returns it to the dealer. Rockstar Gallery and a few other sports dealers I know use this practice a lot. I run from charity auctions unless it is a direct auction from the source such as Kurt earners first things first foundation or something from cardinal charities. Just my two cents.

Hi all, great site!!! I have some genuine Stones autographs to sell. All FIVE together on one page with photo, 1964 /65,  and Charlie and Bill on a separate page.  Also THE WHO during their NZ tour to NZ.  A Gene Pitney, Eric Burdon & Animals, and a Ringo Starr. Any interest?? Best! Peter
