This past weekend at ComicCon in Anaheim I was able to mingle and talk with some of the coordinators who represent the artists that appear at such conventions and sign autographs. Inside info, is always a treat to chat about and learn from. The subject of actor James Arness came up. I don't ever remember him appearing at any conventions at least here in the L.A. area that come to mind, but for a few years now he has maintained a reliable web site where he sells REAL personally signed autographs and memorabilia. http://www.jamesarness.com/index.html

I bring this up and am posting this blog, as this source that I was talking to, stated that Mr. Arness is a bit up there in age(he is 86), and his health has not been the best as of late. He asked if within my autograph community I could put the word out that Mr. Arness loves to sign autographs for fans and loves recieving fan mail that both he, his wife and family personally oversee. Sadly, he has had to state that he is not accepting any autograph requests at this time, but hopes to return to signing very soon. I told him I knew the perfect source and would gladly do what I could. Thus this blog.

Keep good thoughts autograph fans, perhaps write him a letter of cheer, and with a little luck and good grace, he will be back signing autographs for fans through his website very soon.
