REPRINT AUTOGRAPHS: I still do not understand the "why".

I am sending out the white flag to this community. I am calling "uncle", and I will carry the spit buckets, I will chalk the field, and I will mow your lawns, wash your cars, and even consider picking up after your pit bulls (even on feeding day). I just need someone to please explain to me what is this infestation of reprint autographs for sale currently on Ebay. I know we have talked about this before, but do not still understand the "why" as to why anyone would want these, let alone purchace them. I mean, I do not see any possible value in them, there is nothing at all rare about them, nothing whatsoever that you can say is first hand from the artist and/or celebrity, and quite actually would you even consider for a moment to frame these reproductions?

Somebody please deliver me from this state of agonizing confusion and the feeling of unknown. I need to move on in life but just cannot seem to with this lingering question as to "why". Why would anyone want to own or spend money to purchase these, what I percieve to be, such silly items?
