That's definitely a possibility, philipp. However, my biggest concern with the item is that it looks to be slowly drawn, and there are some major hiccups in the signing of the name. The handwriting is closest to Freestone, but the name isn't like what he'd sign at all. You'll have to forgive me, but I still can't say I believe this item is genuine because of the issues I stated above. I've also considered that perhaps the breaks in the dedication were due to his simply not knowing how to spell the name correctly, but it still doesn't explain the issues in the name Freddie Mercury I pointed out. Let me say this, if whomever owns this item should ever decide to sell it, (because Giancarlo Calo gave it the thumbs up) they WILL be able to do so. Although I don't agree with him on this item, it's generally accepted that as long as one of us in the queen collecting circle approve it, it'll be an easy sell.

i was at school in the same class as Georgs daughter and we all knew the contact he had in music business .and i know of his son of the autographs since long time.his father passed away last year so i bought parts of his collection.there was also a nice signed David bowie heroes lp also with dedication and thanks.sadly i sold it last year to a young collector and great bowie fan so its in good hand..in the case of the Freddie autograph its gonna be not on sale ever .its hanging next to my Maria callas autograph who is funny also for her label boss dr.veder.  but i understand that you don't believe in the Freddie.its too good to be true.never saw a nicer foto signed

That's good news. I've been seeing loads of Freddie signatures for sale this year. And although I greatly appreciate that some people sell to give others a chance to own something, I have seen far too many people selling for huge markups in the price vs what they themselves paid for it. I can understand wanting to do a little better than just breaking even, but I've seen a few for sale this year that were being offered at thousands over what they were originally purchased for at auction a year before.

the "G"for George and in the letter seems some of identical.also completely different than the "G" from Roger.it would mean that in case it was a fake the person should have know a  very deep knowledge about freddies writting.but as we know its surely not from freestone and not from the fan club.we know that the autograph is also longtime before the internet where people could compare the different autographs and try to fake some.also we know that this autograph only appear in the mid 80ties.

It wouldn't be hard for the forger to get that right, especially as the fan club often released genuine (printed) hand signed letters from all 4 members at least once a year for the fans. Again, none of this explains why the Freddie mercury name itself was drawn so slowly. It also doesn't explain the other hiccups in the dedication.

you mean that the forger studied his writting  and  autograph from a fan club letter and send it after to the label boss on this promo  foto ?

I mean (like I've said multiple times already) that it looks slowly drawn. Meaning I do not believe it was signed free handed by Freddie. And if someone that worked for him did sign it, then of COURSE they know how he wrote his letters. Again, all 3 of the men that worked for him did sign for him in the past. That's a known fact. When you spend 90% of your time with someone for years and years, its not a stretch to assume you'd know their handwriting. Even if one of them didnt sign it- theres a very simple way for someone to have gotten the G right as i already explained. This topic is getting a bit old (no offense intended), but there's only so many times I can keep repeating the same things over and over. You think it's real. You've stated why. I and a few others dont. I stated why.
I dont try to convince anyone.but in this Case there Are Different opinions.
Thats Makes it worth discussing.Ciancarlo,Fran believe its genuine.you and few others dont.
One the siteaustiaqueenfanclubvienna they Say that Queen received 1984 a Gold Records by emi Austria for the Works LP in the vip area including Dinner later for 70 Guests.so in fact Georg met the Group and than also the thanks to Georg by Roger make sense.i Personals believe the item is genuine and not that Freddie charged someone Else to give a Fake autograph to the Label Boss After just receaving a Gold record.but that just my Personal opinion
Yes I think that's the best we can do.
