I purchased a 1964 Beatles poster with autographs.  Nothing came with the poster to verify that the autographs were authentic.  Are these authentic?

Where did you purchase it? Do you have any recourse according to the terms of sale?

I purchased them at an online auction. My fault. I should have done more research before I decided to buy them.

Thank you for your opinion. I appreciate your time in checking out my dumb purchase. Live and Learn.

Thank you. That's good advice.

these are just plain awful

Thank you for checking them out.

sorry. did you pay using ccard so you could use chargeback to get your money back?

I'm sorry, I didnt realize you bought them, I only looked at the autographs.  I hope you are able to get your money back.

Mary, Did you purchase this from a recognized auction house or was it an eBay auction? Was the item described as being signed by the Beatles or described that it might be signed by the Beatles. If it is described as being signed by the Beatles you will have a chance at getting your money back as it is clearly not signed by the Beatles. Most major auction houses would know this is not a genuine signed item and would not accept it for sale. However there are many small auction houses that will sell items such as this with no research and it is really buyer beware. If you'd like to share more info perhaps we could be more specific in recommending potential courses of action.

I see some good advice is now coming into the thread. I placed my earlier comments with the intention of getting some form of informative debate going with the members. As Mary had stated, she had already purchased the autographs.

I believe "Not authentic IMO and plain awful type comments" do not show her any empathy. She has obviously purchased questionable autographs that have cost her dearly. I believe that for Mary's sake the issues making the autographs not authentic should be explained to her.

Ballroom has highlighted the obvious mis-spelling of Harrison. The e's are also not right. I think the Ringo is very close but the loop to the O is an issue for me. So come on guys, how about passing some of your knowledge and expertise onto Mary as well.

I was told, by the auction house, the seller of the signed poster got the item from a musician in 1978 and he said, by the looks of the other things the musician had, he thought the autographs were probably authentic.

"Probably"? Well, that might be expected. In any event, I would concentrate my efforts now on whatever potential recourse you have for a refund. How long ago was the purchase? What auction house?
