Is this the guitar you are asking about? It looks like an "antiquities" piece. I suspect this is not authentic.

Joe is probably right but we need an image of the autograph, straight on.

The person I got the guitar from is very creditable  he said that it was already authenticated but the paperwork was lost he said the hologram sticker with the number can  provide  the paperwork but I don't know who did the authentication iam trying to  find the company or person who did the original certificate of authenticity I was told the signature is from  1964 o iam hoping someone can direct me to the original source through a possible data base in the mean time I'll provide a picture of the signiture

Robert, I would be shocked if Paul McCartney actually signed that guitar.

Is there a database that may have the certificate connected to the hologram sticker on the guitar or could you direct me to any possible links to find out

Robert, who would you be satisfied to hear authenticated this guitar? Anyone can provide a generic sticker and say it is good. I think sadly here, you might have been taken by someone you feel is credible, but simply isn't.

Get a closeup photo of the sticker so we can see if the name of the authenticator is on it.

Robert, I feel bad you have been taken advantage of it seems. Think about this for a minute. Somebody may have paid big money for this. Just the framing cost some bucks. There is a sticker on this with no association to a company. The owner somehow lost an important document on this expensive item. Rather careless or possibly convenient? Could it be due to the fact the company has a bad reputation?

Just how credible is the seller? Friend? Family?

Agreed, I feel bad too - sorry this happened to you. All else aside, that simply does not look anything like a 1964 McCartney.

True, Eric. McCartney didn't sign in that style since until about the 1990s. Mostly even later.

He is very creditable and willing to refund my purchase price if not satisfied he also claims to have personal ties with Paul NC cartney and has offered to contact him and have him authenticate the guitar so I really feel strongly that this is a legitimate  piece he has admitted to the fact that the box was put together by someone he knows but reassures me that the signiture on the guitar is real . T .If I cant get anywhere on the hologram sticker I will call him on the offer to have Paul NC cartney himself authenticate it I appreciate all of the input iam receiving how ever and ian questioning in my mind if he is feeding me a bunch of bull but he is very successful and has a great reputation I don't want to come back at him unless iam sure it is a fake is there any one who is an expert in this area that I can take it to to have a real creditable source  to challenge his claim  iam into the piece for around 15 Granger  and would gladly pay what ever ther fair price for such a service .

15 Granger? Would that be $1,500 or $15,000?
