I bought this some time ago, but I've never been sure about it. It came with the three photos although they are copies, not originals. What do you think, is it the real deal?

I think the sig on the face of it could be a real (very rushed) example. The problem is I don't think a squiggle like that can be authenticated and it is not something I would personally buy for that reason. I think the photos are rather odd and make me more sceptical if anything. Such a rushed first name only autograph is more typical of his later years but the pics are a bit more vintage.

Not authentic IMO

This is not authentic, IMO. Very poor forgery trying to copy a rushed example of his signature.

I think it could be a real, rushed 1970's/80's example. But, the line above his name, what's that? Hopefully just an errant mark. It has similarities to good ones and differences. It's something a fan would buy, not a collector or investor. If it were at auction, I personally would pass.

IIG, the signature continues into the dark part but you can't see it in the picture. The line you mention is part of that.

In that case,  I'd say it's harder to believe. I've never seen his pen swing up at the end - always down or back like an underline. But never, ever, up or up and left. Unless his arm got bumped at just the right moment. Who knows...

It looks signed too slowly to be rushed. Sorry to say, I think it's not real.

Was this posted here before? It looks familiar.
