Steve Sipe Global/GAI: Are these Mariano Rivera fakes?

I thought Steve Sipe was supposed to clean up Global Authentics (formerly GAI)?

 

These highly suspect signatures are flooding eBay and they all look like they came from the same hand and I'm betting it wasn't Mariano Rivera's. They seemingly almost always have a Global COA.

 

Who is submitting these? Where are they coming from? Why are they always listed at a fraction of Steiner, JSA or PSA prices? Doesn't that lead one to believe the sellers know they are suspect items?

 

This junk is what i found just browsing this morning. Repeat this every day and week and there are hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of this style Rivera with Global COAs.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS !!!!!!!....you beat me to it zip....there's no question Mariano Rivera has been the target of  horrific forged items at auction for years now....this garbage style in particular and all authenticated by you guest it G.A.I and what looks to be G.A. as well not helping the cause either...I don't know who the F**K is authenticating these as real signatures....there all god awful and not even remotely close to an authentic item...I would love to know what there using to compare his auto to.....maybe another G.A.I piece...if any one is reading this and your Rivera auto looks like this in implore you to get a refund and use your forgery to help keep your BBQ burning...the sad part about these Rivera fakes is that there's so many of this garbage pumped into the market that guys with real Rivera autos cant sell them because there getting under cut by these 20 and 30 dollar photos and 50 dollar balls...once again BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THIS STYLE IN PARTICULAR PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!....THEY FLOODED THE MARKET BIG TIME !!!!!!!

Is GAI and GA the same as Gridiron Authentics?

I see a lot of football sigs with COA's from gridiron?

Brandon (VVRRROOOM) will tell you to e-mail Steve Sipe and he'll fix everything... He's the greatest etc...which you can bet dollars to donuts you'll hear crickets chirping from Steve Sipe (Zipper Lips), not to be confused with Zipper. It's the main reason GAI GA who ever the f they are today, HAS continued to jump the shark time and time again.

 

GAI, GA and anything with that same stupid certificate should be avoided like an AAU, Moral Less, Birdsick plague. Even a real Autograph with that seal should be 50% off, because that stupid sticker cries FAKE, before you even look at it. They are BARELY a step ahead of those forementioned.....BARELY

 

He obviously doesn't know Mariano Rivera from a Mariano Duncan signature.

Geez.. just one look at those horrible R's. I don't really differentiate between GAI and GA for much and I still see Mike Baker's on eBay. It's sad to see these things just devalue the market by existing and then all the people who buy them.

Devalue is right. Completely watering down the market.

 

Yet these GA/GAIs are listed every day: balls for well under $100 BINs. Photos for under $50 BINs.  A fraction of Steiner or JSA/PSA.

 

Does anyone think they are getting a real authenticated Mariano Rivera ball for $74.99?

Be on the look out for this G.A. Gem...the new version of "Rivera" I have noticed lately...it looks to me like its the same hand that was doing the original garbage forgeries with that hideous "R" trying to step up his garbage game with Rivera's new style "R" and elongated "A"...NOT EVEN CLOSE AND DEFINITELY NO CIGAR !!!!!!

Rivera has a very distinct and fluid "R" these forgers will never get right....just like the forgers try to do Derek Jeter...they will never be able to duplicate his "D" which is always a dead give away...here's another G.A gem...although I have seen 2 Mantle authentic G.A. items I may never will purchase from these guys....

Looks like Helen Keller is authenticating Rivera's again...who keeps letting her into the GA headquarters....I had GA authenticate a $1 bill signed by George Washington...pretty sweet piece...

Because the eBay seller sportsgiftsandcollectibles has so many of these Rivera Global/GAI items, I sent them this comment on Tuesday August 30.

 

Mariano Rivera has an exclusive contract with Steiner. Did you ever wonder how/why there are massive volumes of these Global Authentic Riveras? Here's a clue -- they are all fakes... and not even convincing fakes. Global/GAI will be the next company booted from ebay. Be prepared for a flood of refund requests when that happens.

 

Still waiting for response. I'll let you know if I get one.
