Thriller signed by Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones

Hi,

My brother has a record that he bought almost 5 years ago from a closing down record store in London, UK.

It has two signatures, Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones but no photographic proof or COA. The signings are alleged to have taken place on separate occasions (no specific time or date stated) whilst the store owner worked at Virgin Radio. This is as per the signed note included inside the record sleeve.


What are the chances of either signature being authentic please? Images below. Thanks for your help.

The Michael Jackson definitely isn’t real in my opinion. I don’t know Quincy Jones Autograph.

Thanks for your feedback Steve. I assume if the MJ is not real then there’s no real possibility that the Quincy Jones would be. Presumably the seller wouldn’t risk ruining an authentically signed Quincy by faking an MJ next to it...

I don't trust that Quincy sig at all (for reference, here's mine). He has one of the most recognizable sigs in the music industry. The pic above looks like a child glanced at an example and took a first crack at it. The long loop across the sig is there - everything else is amateurish.

And if that doesn't pass muster, I doubt the MJ would, either.
