Thank you for your IMO

That’s the way I see it as well.  Th OP looks like a copy of the first set you posted. The second set you posted looks more like the OP - both appear to be copies of the original. I think the Authenticator got this one wrong.

You’re welcome. Did Roger ever get back to you? Also, may I ask where the seller is located?

It’s great when you can compare an original genuine set of autographs to the copy.  The forged set lacks the energy and flow of the original almost looks traced and done very slowly

+1

IMO these are amateur forgeries. Not a question in my mind.

Quick Onionss mean too much these days.

Hauswedell and Nolte was a very reputable auction house. All items, including autographs, were checked beforehand by external specialists. I cannot imagine that a mistake was made. The resemblance to Gordon's autograph is astounding and somewhat eerie.

Is there any way to confirm that the set was actually sold through that auction house?

According to their website, they closed for business on 2/29/2016

In all due respect, that means very little. Even Christie's and Sotheby's have sold their fair share of questionable autographs over the years. Very few auction houses employ the services of true autograph experts. Their intentions may be good, but their knowledge is questionable.

p.s. this is a reply to Susanne Dekerk. I've tried about 20 times to reply directly to her comment but it keeps loading at the bottom of the discussion. Something for admin to investigate ....

This item is supposed to be from a collection (the “Rauhut Collection”) that was sold through this auction house. Apparently the eBay seller supposedly ended up with several sets of Beatles autographs from this collection, and for some reason decided to sell them on eBay. The listing for this one was removed by eBay. As Beatles Fan mentioned, the auction house is no longer in business. I couldn’t find any mention online of this collection being sold by this auction house.
