They cancelled my Barnes order. I thought they cancelled them all.

Didn't B&N actually just cancel all of the orders anyways? I know mine was cancelled.
Paypal should have you covered. If no book shows up you can just file a "item not received claim and they will get you your money back.

My order is still open but you need to see my rant above, I paid for it twice already via Paypal, the funds of $61.99 were debited twice from my Paypal account but the payments have disappeared from my history! I placed the orders 15 minutes apart as the first payment failed on 17th October - B&N just e mailed me saying to pay again for a 3rd time or the order will be cancelled !

Paypal has the best buyer protection I have ever dealt with. Just give them a call and find out what happened. They will take care of you.
Not sure what to tell you on B&N wanting a 3rd payment. Especially considering that it is unlikely they'll ship it regardless.

- When I contacted them weeks ago PayPal Blaimed B&N and PayPal said they couldn’t do anything and I had to contact B&N and B&N said exactly the same blaming PayPal and that I had to contact PayPal ! I can’t even open a dispute as it was in my pending balance originally there’s no dispute button when it’s pending and now the 2 transactions have disappeared totally - along with the money ! The only way I can get on the transactions on PayPal is if I click on the original PayPal confirmation from 17th October ! It’s a mess ! Good way for PayPal to steal your money though ! Blame the vendor and do nothing ! I was hoping it would all be sorted when B&N claimed the funds that were sat waiting on pre authorisation but I guess not. I’ll ring them again tomorrow.

Interesting. Anytime I ever had a "pending" show up in my paypal it never actually charged my credit card until it cleared. That is crazy. Hope you get it straightened out.

Almost everyone who ordered on 10/17 got their order cancelled. But hey-at least you got a $5 gift card instead of a signed Cormac McCarthy boxed set. Hopefully, BAM comes through.

Your B&N order was cancelled? I ordered through Indigo and Amazon and am expecting both to be cancelled at any moment.

I ordered on the 17th and mine hasn't been canceled yet so maybe I got lucky, that's if it's not an Autopen of course in which case those of you who got the $5 gift card instead of the fake will be the lucky ones lol
