Looks to be back in stock

Out of stock again.

That was a restock of Dave Mustaine's cancelled order.

Dave Mustaine rules \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/

I learned the hard way with Depeche Mode's Memento Mori to first buy it, then think it out.

That's exactly what I did here this time. I bought it without thinking. It came down to £178.9 and it's likely I will have to pay additional customs duties and taxes. This is way the most I have ever paid for a signed item and goes beyond what I consider reasonable.

I will give it a few more days to decide whether I should cancel the order.

I ordered from the UK too. I thought that books didn’t get additional customs duties? I’ve not ordered many from overseas though so I could be wrong.

You're correct, books are 0% rated.

Long story short, I'm in the process of moving to an EU country. I ordered it to be delivered to that address. I can't find anything stating how much I could be charged.

The EU may have different arrangements with US imports but with, for example, the UK to the EU, you're charged VAT (at the rate of the EU country) on the import. Some online stores charge the appropriate VAT on online purchases at checkout - such as eBay. In which case you wouldn't have to pay any import VAT - not sure if that is the case with this.

Here's a link to the EU website on this subject: https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/buying-goods-online-coming-no...

Everything that comes from outside the EU generally is always taxed, unless stated otherwise by the seller (sometimes he takes care of this separately).

As far as Germany is concerned, books are taxed at 7%, CDs, vinyls and the like at 19%. This may vary from country to country. In addition, there is a fixed handling fee of the local post / parcel service provider as long as you don't want to do all the customs stuff yourself, for that you'd have to register (opt-out so to speak).

Is it 0% to the European Union as well? I sent it to my EU address.
