They are absolutely legit.  This is a bookstore that's been open since 1980 and deals exclusively in children's and YA  books. They have an outstanding selection of older books, first editions, and illustrator artwork. They also host tons of author events and have very good relationships with publishers. They had a stash of bookplates on hand from scholastic for the author.

And bonus-they actually know how to pack books so that they arrive undamaged.

Most indie bookstore don't end up with a 5.0 on TripAdvisor (where they are ranked #88 of 1694 for shipping in NYC) and a 4.6 on Yelp and Facebook reviews They are legit.

Flipper needed to know...

Honesty, bookplated it's probably not much of a flip.  You'd make a little. But I just remember when I was really little that there were certain picture book authors I loved like Maurice Sendak, Norman Bridwell, Richard Scarry, Dr. Seuss, and Margret & H.A. Rey.

I bought one out of sheer nostalgia for the memories of a simpler time.  And it's certainly cheaper than buying a signed edition from some of the others I listed.

Thank you sharing! Never heard of this bookstore but have already spent 10 minutes browsing! Lots of treasures.

Would love a non bookplated edition based on the photo on Instagram!

Wow very nice! I’ll have to purchase a second if any of these come up

Jimmy Carter (former US president), very pricey.

Didn't find this posted here yet.

That's just stupid. He's signed tons of books. You can get one for a fraction of that price.

Premiere Collectibles buy from Ebay and then flips them for higher prices. What a racket.

Got any evidence to go with that bold statement.

It isn't fact because that isn't the case with any book plated books and not the case with those signed on all the streams and not the case for those with a large volume of stock.

That’s not a bold statement. Premiere Collectibles has a book signed by Edward Duke of Windsor, who died in 1972. This is obviously a book they had to buy from another source and than did a large mark up on it.  If you search their website by price descending, you will see items like a signed Usher photo. Usher has not done a photo signing with premiere.
