Not you, I thought the same. I might be wrong but he dedicated a good bit as well, no?

If you saw the first pic posted now gone it appeared two different black pens.

I removed the first picture cos I thought the  close ups were better but here it is againit looks odd

It also comes with a coa from what was supposed to be one of our leading UK auction houses which went into liquidation

I was not aware of auction houses issuing COA's (apart from Chaucers and we all know what should be done with those). Who would that have been?

No this was from Frazers autographs which guaranteed authenticity etc   but the auction house  selling this Armstrong doesnt specialise in autographs. I came across the Armstrong whilst looking at a signed Spandau Ballet set of sigs

Ah yes, I remember Frazers. It would not surprise me if they had some connection to what is now Chaucers, which is not a recommendation.

Ha!! Ha!!  What a come down for Frazers but Chaucers & Frazers have no connection, - Chaucers is under new management

michelle - Is the old Fraser's related to the current Paul Fraser Collectibles (or was it Frazer's)?   I get the PFC newsletter via email although I don't remember signing up for it.  I thought they might have had me on the list because I did purchase from the old Fraser's.

Heritage Auctions does issue LOAs for some autographs.

It's funny though.  Some pieces they sell they specifically say no LOA will be issued since, while they state they believe it to be real, they are not making any guarantees.  What the heck?

Doesn't RR still issue "AC's" - auction certificates with guarantees of authenticity?

well that is a revelation and a half.  If Heritage doesnt  issue LOAs for some of their autographs, it sounds as if they dont have faith in their own stuff
