It is largely a scripted show with prearranged/peppered "deals". It is TV. Not even good TV IMO.

I've always insisted that I'd never get into so-called "Reality TV" but that's what Pawn Stars is.

I watched it for a while since there is a lot of fun stuff that makes it on air, and there is some good information sometimes.  But just be aware of what the show is.

I watched Pawn Stars for years.  has a lot of interesting items.  But the early shows had Drew Max as the autograph authenticator, his trademark being his large magnifying glass.  He was a butcher, and passed a lot of forgeries.  They replaced him with Steve Grad and that was an improvement.  But in addition to signed items, they have a lot of cool things show up.  I really like the show.

Ah I am  really enjoying it .  Altho when an elderly guy was told that his prized first edition of a signed Rowland book was fake I felt it was rubbing it in for the appriaiser to still say 'have a great day'

I agree, I enjoy it and always love when autographs pop up on the show, which is frequent.
